🌨️ Updated Weather Alert – Winter Storm Warning in Effect ❄️
Dear Jarrell Residents,
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Williamson County, including the City of Jarrell, effective from 6:00 PM CST Monday, January 20, 2025, until 6:00 PM CST Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
There is now a 70% chance of snow and sleet starting Monday evening through Tuesday morning, with possible accumulations of up to an inch. These conditions are expected to make travel hazardous, so we urge all residents to take extra precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
In addition, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 12:00 PM CST Wednesday, January 22, 2025, as freezing temperatures are expected to persist.
In light of these conditions, City Hall and Jarrell ISD will remain closed on Tuesday, following the lead of Williamson County offices and other neighboring cities. This decision is made to ensure the safety of our employees, students, and residents.
