Mel Yantis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we want to announce the passing of Mel Yantis, our City Manager, after a long valiant fight with cancer, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Hired by the City Council in June of 2008, Mel was Jarrell’s first and only City Manager. The City of Jarrell and the citizens were always in his heart, and he always made the citizens his first priority when making decisions. He was not only our trusted leader and boss; he was our friend. Mel will truly be missed!
