Patrol Officer

The City of Jarrell is seeking applications for a Patrol Officer.

Brief Job Description: Under general supervision of the Chief of Police, to enforce laws, preserve the peace, apprehend criminals, and investigate traffic accidents and fulfill the mission statement through a community policing orientated service. The Police Chief usually determines deadlines and priorities for this position. Routine course of action to be followed is generally clear-cut and specific in accordance with established Police Department policies; however, incumbent must be able to act quickly in emergencies and make independent decisions. Position requires constant contact with the public in situations that will require the use of tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.

Salary/Benefits: The Jarrell Police Department is searching for TCOLE Certified Officers, which can earn between $40,000.00 to $68,053.00 yearly (based on a full time position), depending upon background and qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is a non-exempt position and officers are eligible for overtime compensation as well as shift differential pay for evening or night shifts. The City offers Medical, Life Insurance, 401K Retirement plan, Paid Time Off and 11 Holidays during the calendar year.
