City Planner


The City of Jarrell is seeking applications for a City Planner.

Brief Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is current planning functions, such as ensuring that applications for all development comply with applicable City codes and ordinances and State laws and are processed in accordance with approved procedures. Under general supervision from the City Manager, the Planner performs complex planning and land use activities for community development. The position is responsible for processes and planning activities related to the planning and zoning division; assisting in a wide range of tasks and working to serve the interests of the City and its citizens. This is a highly responsible position that demands professional-level work and an exceptionally high level of customer service and diplomacy.

Salary/Benefits:  The pay range is $75,000 to $95,000 annually; and will depend upon the background and qualifications of the successful candidate. The City offers Medical, Life Insurance, 401K Retirement plan, Paid Time Off, and 11 Holidays during the calendar year.
