COVID-19 Public Health Notice

The City of Jarrell Municipal Court is holding in-person hearings and will follow a modified version of the City of Jarrell 2020 COVID-19 Operating Plan. Under the direction of Presiding Judge Scott Matthew, the plan will be followed to ensure the health and safety of litigants, attorneys, visitors, court staff, and other individuals entering City Hall.

Our staff will implement the following protective measures during court days: Monitoring Judge and Court Staff Health, Flexible Docket Scheduling, Vulnerable Populations Accommodations, Social Distancing, Good Hygiene Practices, COVID-19 Symptom Screening, Face Coverings, and Frequent Court Cleaning.

All individuals will be screened before entering the building. Any individual(s) whose temperature equals to or exceeds 100.0º F or answers positively to any screening questions will be refused admittance to the court building and your case will be reset. All participants who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous ten days, have had symptoms of COVID-19 within the previous ten days, or have had recent known exposure to COVID-19 within the previous 14 days will not be allowed in the court.

If any of the aforementioned applies, or you are in the vulnerable populations (individuals who are over age 65 and individuals with serious underlying health conditions), you can request a remote hearing.  Please contact the Court Clerk to request a remote hearing.  Requests for a remote hearing must be submitted before your court date.
